Forte Youth Symphony Orchestra

Mandy Carr

Forte Youth Symphony Program provides advanced orchestral training and performance opportunities for young gifted musicians having two or more years experience on their instrument. The Forte Youth Symphony Program offers a full and enriching orchestral experience; teaching great orchestral literature and etiquette, while presenting various performance opportunities.

Forte Youth Symphony members attend weekly rehearsals and perform 4 concerts per season under Conductor, Elizabeth Piller. The Forte Youth Symphony Program is directed by Executive Director and Founder of Forte Music Studio, Christine Hartigan. Admission to the Youth Symphony Program is by teacher recommendation and/or executive director evaluation.

Recognized as the premiere orchestral training program in our region, Forte Youth Symphony Program was selected by the Rappahannock Pops to be the “Youth Orchestra in Residence” for the 2010 – 2011 Season. This performance opportunity and many others generously granted by the Rappahannock POPS Orchestra and its Musical Director, Kirk Wilke, bring these gifted young performers closer to their dream of becoming world-class musicians.

The Forte Youth Symphony’s’ energetic and talented young musicians will amaze you!  We invite you to preview these talented young people as they open the Rappahannock POPS “Holiday Concert ” performance on Saturday, December 18, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.
