College Education: BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University

Employment: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448: Laser Tracking Systems; Infrared Chemical Agent Detection; designed and installed FLIR/Laser Systems on US Navy ships deploying to Viet Nam; Lightweight-Modular Weapon Control System; Aegis Ship Electrical Systems – Electrical Power Management, solid state over-current protection devices; high impact shock testing and shipboard survivability; head of NSWC Fleet Interaction Office – Navy Science Assistance Program, Scientists to Sea, Tactics Development and Evaluation; Foreign Weapon Evaluation Program; Naval Tactical Missile System – accurate launch of an Army missile from an Army launcher aboard a Navy ship; Land Attack Standard Missile; Advanced Land Attack Missile; Japanese Cooperative Research Program – successful launch of SM-3 missile with a Japanese titanium nose cone from USS Lake Erie and intercept of a target ICBM launched from Barking Sands Missile Test Range on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. Retired from NSWC in June 2006.
