NO TICKETS NEEDED, THIS IS A FREE CONCERT for the community.
The Pops is proud to bring you a memorable Memorial Day program that will feature several soloists from within the Orchestra, conducted by Jim Ford, and with a featured guest, Ian Lane. Ian shares his talents as a seasoned performer with the US Army Chorus and numerous appearances with Riverside Dinner Theater Productions. We will present an inspirational Patriotic composition with narration, entitled Liberty for All, and will feature traditional music such as the Sousa march, Semper Fidelis, and the popular Colonel Bogey March. You will hear a stirring arrangement of our national hymn, God of Our Fathers; and enjoy great swing and jazz selections featuring soloists on the Dixieland favorite, That's a Plenty & Benny Goodman's Sing, Sing, Sing; a unique and entertaining version of Bugler's Holiday you are sure not to forget and more surprise features. You will hear a tribute to local history with American Civil War Fantasy; and we will salute a great American, Bob Hope, who entertained our troops around the world. And of course we close our tribute to those who have given so much to our heritage and freedom with Armed Forces Salute, Taps, Amazing Grace, America the Beautiful and God Bless America. Join us for a fantastic evening of inspiration, entertainment and reflection on Memorial Day.
